HOW DO I RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR?
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38
"Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away..." Acts 3:19
At the end of each worship service an invitation is offered to welcome your public decision. A staff member will gladly receive you and briefly counsel with you regarding your specific decision.
Your decision may be one of the following:
1 – To receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, with subsequent baptism by immersion, during a scheduled worship service and being received by the church by affirmation of members present.
2 – To request baptism by immersion (believer’s baptism). This decision is for those who have made a public decision in the past and are desiring to follow in obedience to be baptized by immersion or for those joining FBC from another denomination with the same doctrines and beliefs concerning the means of salvation.
3 – To transfer membership from another Southern Baptist Church and affirmation of faith in and commitment to
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
4 – To affirm your faith in and commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and affirm with FBC like beliefs concerning salvation and baptism as described in “The Baptist Faith and Message.”
5 – Please contact the church office and speak with a staff member regarding your decision if you would like more information prior to making a public decision; we would enjoy speaking with you.
