The Ministry of Sunday School has five basic functions in the life of the First Baptist Church Family.

To Provide Biblical Teaching that is age related and speaks to the issues our members face each day. We seek to help our members grow in discipleship and in knowledge of God and His word and assisting members to build a foundation of biblical truth.

To Minister to the Fellowship needs of families and specific age groups. Gathering together as families or as a class or department helps build a stronger family and local church. Fellowship is our way a meeting the needs of our members who seek close friendships and accountability: Caring for one another during each segment of life; tough times, and times of rejoicing.

To Prepare for Worship as a Family or for Corporate Worship. Your personal involvement in the Sunday School Ministry will help prepare you and your family for worship together and worship within the body of Christ. As you study God's word together He will draw you nearer and impress upon you and others the joy of being in His presence. When we experience His presence, and Christ is uplifted, we do indeed worship.

To Provide and Avenue of Evangelism. Sunday School is the outreach ministry of the Gospel. Our task as believers is to faithfully and obediently share the truth of the Gospel of Christ. Our Sunday School is here to help those who enter to our church how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Preschool
First Baptist Church loves small children and their families! Beginning with Bed-babies, our preschool ministry during Sunday School also offers classes for Ones, Twos, Threes, Fours, and Fives. Each room is staffed by caring adults who not only love children, but enjoy sharing the stories from the Bible in a way children begin to understand how much God loves them. These little ones are precious in His sight… and ours.
Children
The Children's Sunday School has a special class and leadership for each grade: and we've added a new class just for our sixth graders; "the startingblock." Children are involved in hands-on Bible study, memorizing Scripture, crafts, and loads of fellowship and fun throughout the year.
Youth
Youth Sunday School is geared toward helping today's student not only hear God's word, but to take action. We believe that God has a special challenge for the youth of our community and our desire is for each student to have a solid foundation upon which to make Godly decisions. Youth Sunday School is energy-filled and seeks to draw youth closer to one another and to Christ.
A D U L T S
Being an adult in a community that is rapidly growing requires constant change, and also, a sense of stability. Without a group of close Christian friends, families and individuals may face many of life's trials and crisis. At First Baptist, we believe that our Adult Sunday School is a great place to find hope and peace… and another place to call home.
Adult Sunday School…
Have you noticed any new faces in the worship services lately? There are a few each Sunday; but there are lots of folks who simply “forget” about Sunday School. It only takes a couple of Sundays not being missed by your friends to stay home and just attend for worship. And now that Spring is here and the weather is calling folks to the great outdoors, frequency has a tendency to drop off… for some. For those who desire to get back into fellowship with other believers and really grow deeper, we’ve listed below several options for your personal Bible study group. Some of the ages will overlap because …well, you’re not going to believe this… but there are some folks who enjoyed their class so much they just didn’t promote… or, some stick around because of the younger spouse. No worry. The goal of Sunday School is to provide Bible study, fellowship, ministry, evangelism and worship. If you’re not attending because you’re not sure where you fit in… try all of the departments. If you want to fellowship and study God’s word, there is a place for you and your family. This may also help out if you have a neighbor needing to know where to go when they arrive or what’s offered.
