“I am grateful that we are entering a phase in the life of our church that will open many new opportunities for reaching the people of our community. We have reached the capacity of what our present sanctuary will hold, and we must do something now if we are to continue to grow and meet the needs of Crestview. Many years ago the members of this church stepped out in faith and built the beautiful buildings we enjoy today. Now it is our challenge to do the same for those of today, and for those who will live here in the future. I believe that we, the members of First Baptist Church are ready for this great opportunity the Lord has given us.”

“This new building is needed in order for our church to have room for the growth that is coming to Crestview. The greatest need or reason for the new building is to glorify and build the Kingdom of God, one person at a time. When God sees His people faithfully serving Him, He pours out His blessings. He answers prayer, and blesses His faithful children.”

Officially becoming an established church on August 8, 1917, First Baptist Church Crestview has grown from a small Baptist Mission sponsored by the Milligan Baptist Church in 1889 with 19 members to the church it is today through the faithfulness of her members . Recent months has seen average attendance in Sunday School reach in the mid 400’s and worship attendance over 500. With the first “meeting space” in 1917 being a wood frame building with sawdust floors and filled with the original 19 members, the years have certainly seen a multitude of changes. Today FBC is in the process of providing more office space, a new preschool/nursery area, and a sanctuary to the facility. Though the church property has changed and members have moved on, FBC remains faithful to proclaim its original message; the Gospel of Christ. We are committed to seeking ways to become active in missions and building a family ministry that goes hand in hand with a personal touch to those who need help. It’s all about finding truth in Scripture and how God wants us to live a daily life of encouragement and victory.
"Our Building For The Future plans are coming together. It is exciting to see so much progress taking place in committees and behind the scenes for now. We are encouraged to hear other members getting excited as they continue to dream with us the ministry possibilities once the addition is completed. The prayer effort continues as we seek to remain faithful and obedient to this task. God has given First Baptist a fresh wind and a great opportunity to invest in His work."
