Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s a good day.

There are several items of ministry upcoming. As you read over this issue, please be in prayer for volunteers to work with children of all ages and grades. While in conversation with Wes, it seems we’re in need of redefining/clarifying what we are seeking in Sunday School leadership… In years past, we’ve usually stated something like the following… “we would like for you to consider teaching __ class.” While we have been truly blessed with wonderful leadership over the years, we now find there are several potential leaders who seem to be overwhelmed with the thought of “teaching a class.” Therefore, a better proposed question that complements our vision for children and family ministry, we are asking for volunteers who would consider being “a small group leader.” Those who lead are naturally going to give extra time to study God’s word and find interesting activities that will assist children to understand God’s love… but just as important, the leader should be building a relationship with the member so they are compelled to live a life that is growing and vibrant for the Lord. Yes, you will be teaching… but you’ll be helping a child learn of the love of God while nurturing a loving relationship with one another. Think about it. Pray. Call Wes or Jeff or Randall.

Have you prayed for your church today? Once you read through the newsletter I’m hoping you’ll pray. God has given the FBC family so much to be thankful for… let’s not disappoint our Lord by neglecting such a blessing. We must be wise stewards as we grow and build His kingdom.
