Music is a vital ingredient to our worship . . .
Casual, fun, worshipful, reverent, upbeat, contemporary, serious, traditional . . .
all this and more. It's hard to describe until you've experienced it. God is uplifted and this lifts our spirits and prepares us for the rest of the week. We sincerely pray that we offer our best to the Lord; for HE is the audience of our worship.

There are many talented vocalists and musicians who have found a home at First Baptist. Many of these talented disciples of Christ share regularly as a part of the choir, an ensemble, or as a soloist or in the orchestra during our worship. There are opportunities for you to become involved. Our minister of music (a wonderful worship pastor) is here to assist our members in developing their talents and gifts as they offer to the Lord a sacrifice of praise and worship.
If your heart's desire is to please the Lord with musical talents you are most welcome to join us as we lift our songs of praise. All choirs have regular rehearsal times during the month and special rehearsals are scheduled for musical events.
Instrumentalists are encouraged to let the minister of music know of their skill levels, and their interest in assisting in other areas, or ministry programs of the church, where musical leadership is needed. Other areas of interest include: adult handbells, children's choirs, youth choir, children handbells, drama, seasonal musical, instrumentalists....

Rehearsal Times
| First Light - This is a ladies ensemble of six who practice on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. and present several anthems each year. | Men's Quartet - These men meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. They also present several anthems each year. | Mixed Ensemble - This group is a combination of the ladies' and men's ensembles. They present several anthems each year. | Hand Bells - These talented musicians practice on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. They play several times each year for the worship services. |
Merry Makers - The 4 and 5 year olds meet at 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday for practice.
Music Makers - The 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders meet at 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday.
Young Musicians - The 4th, 5th and 6th graders meet at 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday. This group also goes on short missions trip each year.
Lifeline Youth Choir - 7th through 12th graders meet at 4:30 p.m. each Sunday. This group is the Sunday evening service choir. They also participate in a week-long choir tour every summer.
Lighthouse Praise Team serves on Wednesday nights at the Lighthouse. Contact Jeff Childers.
Sanctuary Choir - Older youth through senior adults meet for rehearsal at 7:15 p.m. each Wednesday after prayer meeting. This group is the Sunday morning worship service choir. They present two major musicals each year as well as the many anthems for Sunday morning.
